As happens with most Argentine families at this time of year, the holidays are over and a stage full of schedules, routines and responsibilities begins: back to school. And the house that Juana Repetto formed with her partner, Sebastián Graviotto, and her sons Toribio and Belisario, and in the absence of her partner, Sebastián Graviotto, Reina Reech’s daughter was no exception and in the last hours it might be seen on their social networks, from assembling the backpack and supplies to the complete uniform that the oldest of the children wore to start classes.
“Happy start love of my life. 2nd grade, at what point?” Juana wrote next to the photo of Toribio dressed in the uniform and backpack in hand to start a new school year. In other photos that she uploaded, you can see Belisario very close to his little brother. “We will always be there to accompany you… never let go,” Juana wrote as an expression of wish. And in a third image of the little ones together, she added: “And very close up, right Beli?”
However, this pleasant moment was overshadowed by some followers, who made suggestions regarding her son’s look. In a reprehensible practice that in the case of Juana’s account has already become a classic, criticism appeared. It was the actress and influencer herself who exposed the comment that she received privately on Instagram and responded forcefully. To do this, she uploaded a screenshot of the chat where it was read that a user wrote to her: “Didn’t it occur to you to shine his shoes?” And regarding the image, Juana wrote ironically: “The classic of every year might not be missing.”

It is not the first time that the influencer has received this type of comments from her audience, since years ago they pointed out that the boy started classes with dirty sneakers. At that time, she recorded a video with the baby to respond to those who judged her. “Look…” she said to the camera and showed the white sneakers. “What?” asked the child who was left out of the controversy. “I cleaned the sneakers, didn’t you notice? Yesterday you suffered a lot because I sent you with dirty sneakers?” Surprised, his eldest son replied: “I didn’t suffer anything.” Laughing, Juana closed the moment with a hug: “Oh! Obvious. I love you”. As if to conclude the topic, she then shared a reflection through several stories. “God! The #sneakersgate. The comments I read in the accounts of the portals that raised it: ‘Because the colleagues have to feel the smell’; ‘It is your responsibility as a mother to keep it clean’; ‘If you don’t care that your sneakers are dirty, why did you clean them?’; and other issues like that,” she said at the beginning.
“The reality is this: I went to grab the sneakers that I hadn’t worn in two months and they were like this. I gave him a choice between those and others, which were more or less the same, and he wanted those. I really DO NOT WORRY – she highlighted in capital letters – that the shoes are muddy. Honestly, I put them on and I didn’t even notice it,” she clarified. And he added: “When I see the flood of messages making me notice it, I gave him a wipe that didn’t cost me anything, and I wiped the rubber a touch. They are still ‘dirty’ because they are STAINED, the fabric was stained with varnish and he is not going to get it out, but he likes those and they suit him perfectly.”
“HE’S GOING TO USE THEM LIKE THIS. I do not consider that his sneakers define ANYTHING regarding him or his hygiene or regarding me as a mother. Just because the rubber on his shoes is muddy does not mean that he is dirty, much less that he has a smell. He bathes every day. Bah, some of the weekend maybe not and that doesn’t mean he has a smell at all,” he said with humor. He also revealed another detail: “And the stockings were worse, literally three holes each. I had them stored in a ball, washed, pristine white, and when I opened them they all had holes in them. Well, they were the only white ones, he wanted to wear them and I DON’T CARE.”
