Juan Pablo Luque, the Peronist candidate for governor, voted this Sunday at table 1179 of school No. 39 in Comodoro Rivadavia. For the current mayor of Comodoro Rivadavia, the most populous city in the province and the heart of its oil production, the biggest dilemma of the “Arriba Chubut” campaign he led on his front was dealing with the very low approval ratings with which dismisses the management of the current PJ governor, Mariano Arcioni.

Luque went to vote accompanied by his daughter, his partner and his parents, his task as mayor of Comodoro has an acceptable image and that is why the community chief bets his biggest chips to make a good “local” election, so that that volume of votes impacts the overall numbers.

Juan Pablo Luque: “Nacho Torres was an employee of Mauricio Macri”

After lining up and casting the vote, Luque spoke of the damage caused by the very strong winds that hit the area in particular and Patagonia in general, with gusts that exceeded 100 km/h and this Saturday we even published that this gale had overturned a truck on the road.

“The most important thing was that we do not regret a life,” said Luque, stressing that the commune “works with all its resources to restore electricity” to the neighbors who were left in the dark by the wind.

Luque denied the statements that his PRO adversary, Nicolás Torres, had made a while before, in the sense that “the provincial government tried to discourage” citizen participation, and expressed “to the contrary, important work was done to have the schools in good conditions and clear the streets and avenues, because what happened yesterday was an extraordinary event”.

Luque differed from the current government and also questioned those who affirm that Peronism has exercised power for two decades in Chubut, stating that “this is not true, there have not been 20 years of Peronism in the province, because the last 6 years have not They have been part of the Peronist government.” He pointed out that Arcioni, referenced in Sergio Massa, belonged to the Renewal Front and not to the more traditional Peronism.

Regarding his work in Comodoro Rivadavia, he remarked: “It is one of the most difficult cities to manage, because it has more than 4,000 oil wells within the urban fabric, with oil pipelines that cross our city’s neighborhoods and that prevent the possibility of urbanizing them, there are high lines tension related to the oil industry and in this context we managed to grow Comodoro Rivadavia and make it the second city with the least unemployment in the country”.

Juan Pablo Luque: “Provincial management is a catastrophe at an educational level”

Regarding insecurity, the pre-candidate for governor said that: “Thanks to sports and cultural policies we lowered the homicide rate in the city by 70%.” And he remarked that “education is the issue that worries the most because there are no possibilities to grow without an educational plan that is thought of tomorrow, which is very different from what we had to face.”

At the closing, he asked the population to come to vote and emphasized “the importance of harmonizing politics, of pacifying politics.” And he concluded that “we must not underestimate the population”, alluding to his electoral decisions.
