Dominican singer Juan Luis Guerra gave the public a “bath of bilirubin” this Sunday in Malaga during the first concert in Spain of his Entre mar y palmeras tour with a show in which he also reviewed the greatest hits of his career.
After being cheered for several minutes by more than 9,000 people before the show began, Guerra (Santo Domingo, 1957), one of the most recognized and awarded figures of Latin music in the world, went up on stage with his band of musicians 4.40 amid applause and flags of the Dominican Republic.
With his song Rosalía, the singer began a concert in which he demonstrated that he is in top form and moved a diverse audience made up of people of all ages and countries such as the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Mexico and El Salvador.
The fans of the Dominican musician have danced, devoted to the rhythm of bachata, songs such as Dj Bachata or Bachata rosa performed by an energetic Guerra who has danced non-stop and has shown throughout the show his talent to make the whole concert into a great party.

Juan Luis Guerra, who in his four-decade career has sold more than 30 million records and has won numerous awards, including 19 Latin Grammys, 2 North American Grammys, and 2 Latin Billboard Awards, has soon won over his fans with Burbujas de amor, which the public has sung along with the artist forming a single voice.
In the nearly two-hour concert there was time for the merengue of Para ti, the salsa of Como yo and, of course, for the singer’s Christian devotion.
First with Para ti, dedicated to Jesus Christ, and almost at the end, with Las avispas, in which verses from the Bible are used to preach regarding faith.
The musician continued with his iconic songs Ojalá que llueva café and Visa para un sueño and, at the end of the concert, following playing hard to get by by pretending for several minutes that the concert had ended, he performed A pedir su mano and Bachata Rosa, which the audience sang in a chorus.
Guerra, who thanked the Dominican flags that surrounded him during the concert, also celebrated the fact that fans from Venezuela, Cuba and Mexico came.
Finally, the singer put the finishing touch to a night of salsa, bachata and merengue with ‘Bilirrubina’, a song that the audience welcomed with their hands raised and that provoked, in addition to much dancing and shouts of joy, even some tears of emotion.
After this concert at the Selvatic Fest in Malaga, the Dominican musician will continue his tour in Madrid, where he will perform on July 9 and has already sold out all tickets, Valencia (July 11) and La Coruña (July 13). An article by María Alonso.
