According to a statement issued by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday, the Pakistani nationals, including five women, arrived in Islamabad last night via a chartered flight.
The above mentioned Pakistani men and women were imprisoned in different prisons of Sri Lanka for the past many years for various crimes.
According to the Home Ministry statement: ‘Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi took personal interest in ensuring the repatriation of Pakistani prisoners and raised the issue with the Sri Lankan High Commissioner in Islamabad.’
It was stated in the statement that all the expenses of repatriation of Pakistani citizens from Sri Lanka were borne by Federal Minister for Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan.

Another Pakistani citizen who reached home said: ‘We are grateful to Mohsen Naqvi and Abdul Aleem for bringing us back to our home.’
