Hwang Dong-il (36), the representative of professional volleyball, will be wearing the 7th uniform.
KEPCO and OK Financial Group announced on the 15th that they had reached an agreement to trade setter Dong-il Hwang and center Jeong Seong-hwan (26).
Hwang Dong-il joined Woori Capital Dream Six (currently Woori Card) in 2008 and played for six teams including KEPCO last season. With this trade, he has a unique record belonging to all seven men’s clubs.
After KEPCO signed setter Ha Seung-woo from Woori Card last month, rumors of Hwang Dong-il’s transfer have been constantly flowing in the volleyball world.
OK Financial Group showed interest in Hwang Dong-il, who played in 33 matches and 105 sets as a member of KEPCO last season, and eventually succeeded in signing him, adding Kwak Myeong-woo and Kang Jung-min to build a solid setter.
Middle blocker Jeong Seong-hwan appeared in 17 matches for OK Financial Group last season.
Regarding this trade, manager Yang said, “We expect that it will be of great help to the management of the team by recruiting players in positions that need reinforcement. I would like to express my gratitude to the players who have left the team.”
