Journalist Lourdes Mendoza wins a legal battle against Emilio Lozoya

The journalist Lourdes Mendoza announced that she won the lawsuit for moral damages that she filed more than a year ago once morest the former director of Pemex, Emilio Lozoya.

In an interview for Radio Formula, the columnist explained that her case began on August 19, 2019, when Emilio Lozoya’s complaint was made known for the bribes of the Odebrecht construction company and the bribes for the energy reform.

“It took me 1 year 9 months to prove that I was right, that Emilio had lied, that what he had said regarding me was false,” said Lourdes Mendoza.

The former director of Pemex implicated the journalist in a story in which he said that he had bought a luxury bag in Masaryk for her, as a kind of gift, which she has denied.

After the legal triumph of the journalist once morest Lozoya, he will have to pay 500 thousand pesos. “Not only is he CORRUPTED, but I have already proven that he is a vulgar LIAR and a TRAITOR. In addition to being in jail, he will have to compensate me for the damage (sic),” Lourdes Mendoza wrote on social networks.
