Ariel Lima Feijoo, 61, died this Wednesday of a massive cardiac arrest on the channel where he worked for the last three decades. The journalist was sitting in the editorial office of the TV Pública newscast when he suffered a massive cardiac arrest.

At around 4:00 p.m., his colleagues from the news program on the state signal initially believed that he had fallen asleep in the chroniclers’ room, but later they realized that he had broken down. He received attention from the medical department of Public TV and also from SAME doctors, for more than 40 minutes. CPR efforts failed to revive him.

His death caused shock and pain in the channel directed by Claudio Martínez, under the orbit of the president of RTA Rosario Lufrano.

The journalist Lima Feijoo was going to turn 62 on February 24. He had two daughters and a son. It had been working since 1999 as a stable staff of the state channel, which is part of the company Radio y Televisión Argentina (RTA). He started out as a writer and later became a team of chroniclers who walk the streets to the rhythm of the news. He also hosted newscasts.

Between 1988 and 1992 he was union secretary of the Union of Press Workers of Buenos Aires (UTPBA). Later, between 1992 and 1995, he served as leader of the Federation of Press Workers (FaTPren).

“We share the deep sorrow for the departure of comrade Ariel Lima, a worker at Channel 7 and who was a union leader of our Federation,” FaTPren said in a statement.

“It is with great pain that we fire our colleague Ariel Lima, who worked at Channel 7 for more than 30 years and was a union leader at different times,” said the channel’s workers in the Buenos Aires Press Union (SiPreBA) in another statement. .
