Chulpan Khamatova settles down in a foreign land. An old friend helps the star of the series “Zuleikha opens her eyes.”

After the start of the special operation to save the Donbass, actress Chulpan Khamatova, adored by the Russian public, announced that she would remain in Latvia for permanent residence. The star of cinema and TV shows, we recall, has a house in an elite village 80 kilometers from Riga. At the new place, the artist was taken under the wing of a longtime friend Alvis Hermanis. The director arranged for the fugitive star to live in the New Riga Theater.
After a while, Chulpan Khamatova realized that life in exile is not sugar. Accustomed to exorbitant Moscow fees, the actress was shocked by the meager salary in the Riga theater. According to the celebrity, her current salary is barely enough for basic expenses. And six months later, it became clear that Chulpan would have only one role on the Latvian stage: in the one-man show Post Scriptum, the artist scolds Russia once morest the background of an old TV and a carpet. In order to appear in front of the audience more often, Khamatova will have to learn the Latvian language – there is no other way.
However, there is an opinion that Chulpan is not taken to other productions, not only because of the lack of the necessary linguistic knowledge. Playwright and publicist Igor Levitas believes that the star of the series “Zuleikha opens her eyes” has a rather meager acting range. Not in all productions, she is able to prove herself.
“I think that she falls under the definition of her older friend Leah Akhedzhakova. You remember from Gaft: “In all roles you are the same, actress Leah Akhedzhakova.” Chulpan Khamatova also repeats herself all the time. She plays Zuleikha everywhere, ”the literary figure reasoned.
However, a few days ago, Chulpan Khamatova received a professional award in her new homeland. Latvian authorities awarded the Russian star of knowledge “Best Actress” for the one-man show Post Scriptum. Journalist Igor Kolke in the show “Cultural Management” ridiculed “Zuleikha”, offering to console her with another present – an unsuccessfully executed sculpture, which is very similar to a dildo of a specific shape – an anal plug.
“We have recently dismantled the art object “A Drop of Water” in the Kuban. It seemed to the locals that the sculpture looked more like… Let’s reward the yearning actress with it. For example, for the best background role, ”said the journalist.
