In the 31st SEA Games when Joshua Robert Atkinson whirlwind, rising star Thai-Aussie Was selected by the organizers of the 31st SEA Games as one of the top four athletes of the 31st SEA Games following raking in 4 gold medals at the Hanoi Games by an award ceremony. It was held during the closing ceremony of the 31st SEA Games on the evening of 23 May 65 with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supit Samahito, Deputy Head of the Thai Athletes was the person who received the award instead
For Josh Sure, it’s a great blowout in the 31st SEA Games. By grabbing 4 gold medals alone from the men’s 400 meter sprint, the men’s 800 meter sprint, the men’s 4×100 meter medley relay and the men’s 4×400 meter relay, becoming the first Thai athlete in 21 years to win 4 gold medals in a single SEA Games since Supawadi White taro, the last person to do it in the SEA Games in 2001 in Malaysia.
The other three athletes who were named Best Athletes of the 31st SEA Games alongside Joshua include 21-year-old Singaporean swimmer Kwah Ching Wen, who took home six gold medals at the SEA Games. This included Vietnam’s 21-year-old swimmer Nguyen Hui Hong, who took five golds, and Vietnamese athlete Nguyen Thi Huan, who took three golds at the SEA Games.
