Josh Jacobs from Raiders arrives and Aaron Jones leaves

One runner for another. The Green Bay Packers announced the addition of Josh Jacobs, now ex-Raiders, just after revealing that Aaron Jones will leave the Packing team.

The team led by Jordan Love announced its first number one running back, something that had not happened since 2017, acquiring the services of the 26-year-old player.

With Las Vegas, Josh agreed to a restructured contract for one year and almost 200 million pesos. He had the worst season of his five-year career, finishing with record lows in games played (13), rushing yards (805), yards per carry (3.5), rushing touchdowns (6), rushing first downs (34) and yards from the line of scrimmage (10101).

For his part, Jones has averaged 5.0 yards per carry in 97 games since being drafted by Green Bay in 2017. In his seven seasons, Jones, 29, rushed for 5,940 yards and scored 63 total touchdowns (45 rushing , 18 per reception). He also caught 272 passes for 2,076 yards.

A little over a month ago, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said that Aaron I would “absolutely” be back in Green Bay.

The Packers running back is the only player in NFL history with more than 5,000 rushing yards (5,940), more than 45 rushing touchdowns (45), an average of more than 5.0 yards per carry (5.04), more of 250 receptions (272), 2,000 plus receiving yards (2,076) and more than 15 touchdown receptions (18) in his first seven seasons.
