José Vidal Fernández is the new head of the Comprehensive Health Insurance rmmn | PERU

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) appointed the economist Jose Ernesto Vidal Fernandez in the position of head of the Comprehensive Health Insurance (SIS), according to a rule published today in the official newspaper El Peruano.

The It is endorsed by the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, and by the Minister of Health, Hernán Condori.

Also, through the resignation of the surgeon Hector Miguel Garavito Farro to the position of head of the SIS, thanking her for the services rendered. The aforementioned doctor held the position since last November 17, 2021 during the past management of Hernando Cevallos in the Ministry of Health (Minsa).

The new head of the SIS worked as general director of the Planning and Budget Office of the Ministry of Women; he was also director general of the Ministry of Labor; Vice Minister of Tourism when the head of the Mincetur, Edgar Vásquez.

The Comprehensive Health Insurance tIt has the purpose of protecting the health of Peruvians who do not have health insurance, so that it prioritizes those vulnerable populations that are in a situation of poverty and extreme poverty.
