The parliamentarian stressed that “Venezuelans resolve our problems without the intervention of anyone or anything. I am happy that these negotiations between the US and Venezuelan governments are taking place directly between the Government and the Government, which are the ones that have to understand the possible progress in the negotiations. The blackmail and extortion of a group of radical politicians cannot continue.”
The deputy to the National Assembly (AN), José Gregorio Correa, regarding the reestablishment of the “dialogue” between the governments of the United States and Venezuela, maintains that “all conversation is important to recover the democratic and constitutional dialogue in a bilateral manner.”
“This exercise of restoring dialogue between the US and Venezuela is good because one of the outstanding advantages that we humans have over the rest of the animals is that we have the word as an effective form of communication. Now we have the possibility of talking regarding it and this phenomenon is a benefit for bilateral relations,” stressed the researcher and university professor.
However, he warned: “With this reestablishment of political and economic dialogue, false scams and false deceptions by a small radical opposition group are beginning to fall apart, a group that is doing no good to the country.”
“Some sectors of the country’s polarized politics are being left hanging because they believed that everything might be done through them and that conversations have to be direct between governments. That is part of the international democratic system,” argued the parliamentarian.
He denounced that “now in our historical present, I do not want a government that is held hostage by the Russians, by the Iranians, by the Pakistanis or by anyone, not by Cuba or by anyone, but I also do not want an opposition that has to consult the United States Government in order to move a finger.”
To conclude, he stressed that “Venezuelans resolve our problems without the intervention of anyone or anything. I am happy that these negotiations between the US and Venezuelan governments are taking place directly between the Government and the Government, which are the ones that have to understand the possible progress in the negotiations. The blackmail and extortion of a group of radical politicians cannot continue.”
