England captain Jos Buttler with a fireworks performance in The Hundred. Jos Buttler, who is also a Rajasthan Royals player, caught fire in the Manchester Originals-London Spirit match held last night.
In the match at the Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester, London Spirit won the toss and sent Manchester into bat.
Buttler, who is also the Manchester captain along with Phil Salt, formed a decent partnership for the first wicket. Both of them scored 44 runs in 24 balls. Salt returned with 21 runs from nine balls.
Butler’s shot following joining Max Holden who came following him. Holden was also out when the team score stood at 111. The star scored 24 runs in 16 balls.
Manchester also lost the wicket of Butler while the team score stood at 117. The player returned as a clean bowler off Ravi Bopara. Buttler scored 62 runs off 36 balls with five sixes and three boundaries at a strike rate of 200.
Ashton Turner, who came next, was trying to score runs when rain came and the match was interrupted. Manchester Originals were still in good form at 138 for 5 off 80 balls when rain came and the match was abandoned.
The match was abandoned but the fans are excited to see Buttler’s fireworks.
The Originals are seventh in the points table following losing the first match of the tournament to Welsh Fire and drawing the second match.
