Jorge Rodríguez accuses González Urrutia of planning “the destruction of Venezuela”

The Chavista campaign command accused presidential candidate Edmundo González Urrutia of planning “the destruction of Venezuela” through his government program, in view of the elections next Sunday.

At a press conference, the head of Nicolás Maduro’s campaign command, Jorge Rodríguez, said that González Urrutia’s plan is designed to “generate unrest, instability, pain, dismissal, theft and death“, and assured that it contains actions “exactly” the same as those taken by the Argentine Government of Javier Milei.

«These neoliberal programs are deeply sadistic (…) because they are aimed (…) at stealing from those who have the least in order to give those resources to those who have the most. That is pure sadism, that is pure and simple evil.“said Rodriguez, who did not show or explain a single piece of evidence to support his claims, despite assuring that everything is contained in a document he had in his hands.

The president of the National Assembly also stated that this plan – which he called a “bojote” – establishes a “broad program of privatization of companies and public assets” to “hand them over” at “a bargain price” to – he pointed out – people close to this opposition sector and to “foreign consortiums.”

In this way, Rodriguez continued, the PUD plans to eliminate “all” subsidies for basic services to put – he indicated – electricity, domestic gas and transportation at “unaffordable prices,” a plan that he neither argued nor proved.

«It is exactly the same thing that Milei is doing in Argentina.said the official leader, who pointed out that “Not a single cent of these privatizations will go to the people of Venezuela.”

He also accused the opposition of making plans to privatize education and make it more flexible. All laws on employment“with the aim of “turning workers into slave labour.”

Urrutia committed

Among his actions, should he win the presidential election, González Urrutia promises to promote “quality education” as well as “recover” the “deteriorated” public health system through international alliances and the return of health personnel who have emigrated, so that “everyone” has access to health services.

He also says that if he becomes President, he will improve the income of workers and pensioners in the country, where the minimum wage and pensions are currently equivalent to about 3.5 dollars a month, and will guarantee opportunities for “all” Venezuelans, both those who are within the nation and those who migrated and want to return.

In addition to Maduro and González Urrutia – the leader in the polls – eight candidates will compete in the upcoming elections, with no real chance of winning, according to the polls.
