Jorge Martin Fastest in First Free Practice for the French GP – 2024-05-12 01:57:32

Prima Pramac Racing RACER Jorge Martin leads the first practice session (FP1) of the French GP at the Le Mans Circuit, France, Friday (10/5).

Martin was the fastest with a best lap time of 1 minute 31.421 seconds, just ahead of young racers Pedro Acosta (GASGAS Tech3) and Maverick Vinales (Aprilia Racing) who were 0.257 seconds and 0.267 seconds behind respectively.

Following behind him was the Ducati Lenovo duo, Enea Bastianini and Francesco Bagnaia, who respectively had a time margin of 0.416 seconds and 0.431 seconds from the race leader.

As reported by Betweenthose who completed the top 10 positions in the first free practice session were Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing), Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing), Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM), Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing), and Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46 ).

Some interesting things from the first series of the French GP this time were that there were a number of racers who seemed to have difficulty getting through several corners at Le Mans. One of them is Binder who experienced it
single accident while trying to pass Turn 11.

Home racer Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha) also experienced balance problems on his motorbike when trying to pass Turn 7, but he was able to control the motorbike well so he didn’t fall.

Meanwhile, Quartararo, who raced with a special helmet design for the French GP, could only finish the first free practice session in 20th position.
