Jordan said today that Israeli settlers attacked an aid convoy en route to the Erez crossing in the northern Gaza Strip and “damaged its contents” — the second such incident in less than a week.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Sufyan Kunda said the convoy, which was crossing the Israeli-occupied West Bank from Jordan, later managed to continue its journey and reach its destination in war-torn Gaza.
“Jordan holds Israel responsible for the attack carried out by extremist settlers … (an attack that) constitutes a violation of its legal obligations as an occupying power,” Kunda told Reuters.
