Kim Joo-hyung hit a 3-under par 67 with 5 birdies and 2 bogeys in the third day of the tournament held at Narashino Country Club (par 70, 7,41 yards) in Insai, Chiba Prefecture, Japan.
Kim Joo-hyung, who recorded a total of 5 under par 205 over three days, finished the third round in a tie for 26th with American Xander Shopley and others.
He is nine strokes behind Ricky Fowler of the United States, who leads the solo 14-under par.
Kim Joo-hyung, who achieved two tour victories at the PGA Tour Schleiners Children’s Open, which ended in Las Vegas on the 10th, tried to win the championship for the second week in a row with three wins in this tournament, but it was difficult to win the championship due to the large gap with the leader.
Fowler, who has not won a championship since February 2019, is one shot ahead of Keegan Bradley to take the top spot and challenge for six tour victories.
Si-woo Kim recorded a total of 4 under par in the third round and tied for 31st with the defending champion Hideki Matsuyama (Japan).
Kyung-Hoon Lee is tied for 47th at 2-under, and Seong-Jae Lim is tied for 52nd at 1-under.
