Indonesian GOLF, Jonathan Wijono can’t wait to show off at the Indonesian Masters 2024 which will take place from 31 October to 1 November at the Royale Jakarta Golf Club, Jakarta.
“Actually, I’m nervous about playing here, but yes, I’m looking forward to the tournament next Thursday. I’m really looking forward to playing here,” said Jonathan Wijono in a press conference ahead of the tournament, Tuesday.
Indonesian Masters 2024 is a tournament that remains part of the International Series which is competing for a total prize worth 2 million US dollars or an increase of 500 thousand US dollars compared to last year’s edition.

This tournament, which is included in the Asian Tour calendar, has been taking place since 2022. The Indonesian Master, which has been held since 2011, has now broken the record as the golf tournament with the highest prize ever held in Indonesia.
Jowi, as he is familiarly known, considers that this tournament will be interesting because there will be competition from world-class golfers to conquer the Royale Jakarta Golf Club which has been chosen as the location for the Indonesian Masters competition for 12 consecutive editions.
“In my opinion, this is very interesting to show success. And seeing many international players playing here, I am also looking forward to taking part here, to playing in the Indonesia Masters,” said the golfer from Surabaya, East Java.
Jowi is proud of Indonesia’s achievements in hosting an event of this magnitude which is included in the International Series calendar as well as the closing event of the Asian Tour this October.
“And also Indonesia as the host, obviously I am proud of Indonesia… this is really interesting, I really want to play here,” said Jowi. (Z-6)

**Jonathan Wijono:** It means everything to me. The Royale Jakarta Golf Club is not just a beautiful course; it’s a place where I’ve spent countless hours practicing and honing my skills. Playing there in front of home fans is a dream come true and adds an extra layer of motivation.
**Editor:** The tournament is set for October 31 to November 1. How have you prepared for the event?
**Jonathan Wijono:** Preparation has been key. I’ve been focusing on my swing mechanics and short game. Additionally, I’ve been studying the course layout and spending time on the greens to make sure I’m in top shape. Mental preparation is equally important; I’ve been working on staying calm and confident under pressure.
**Editor:** That’s great to hear. Can you tell your fans what they can expect from you during the tournament?
**Jonathan Wijono:** I promise to give it my all and play with the passion that my fans deserve. I’m aiming for a strong performance and to enjoy every moment out there. Hopefully, I can make my supporters proud and leave a mark on the tournament.
