Jonathan Sénécal in Carabins history with his 33rd touchdown pass | RDS.ca

Jonathan Sénécal only needed one quarter in 2024 to write his name in the history of the Montreal Carabins.

The quarterback threw his first touchdown pass of the year Friday night against the Sherbrooke Vert et Or to move into the Carabins’ history book for the most touchdown passes.

Sénécal’s touchdown pass was his 33rd in a Montreal uniform, which allowed him to overtake Alexandre Nadeau-Piuze for first place in team history.

Sénécal threw nine touchdown passes in 2021, eight in 2022 and 15 last season. The latter will be eligible for the CFL draft this year.

With around ten touchdown passes this season, Sénécal could enter the top 10 in RSEQ history.

More details to come.
