Archyde: Thank you for taking the time to speak with us, Jonathan. Let’s start by addressing the elephant in the room. How have the LA wildfires impacted you personally?

Jonathan Scott (JS): Thank you for having me. It’s been a challenging time, to say the least. I live in Brentwood, and the fires have been dangerously close to my home. It’s been terrifying, saddening, and frustrating. Many of my friends and even family members have lost everything. My fiancée Zooey Deschanel’s parents’ childhood home in the Palisades was also destroyed.

Archyde: That must have been heartbreaking for you both. How have you been coping with all this?

JS: It’s been an emotional rollercoaster. But seeing the strength and resilience of our community, and knowing that people care, makes a huge difference. It’s also important to stay grateful for what we have and focus on helping others in need.

Archyde: Speaking of helping others, you and Drew have been actively raising awareness and funds for relief efforts. Tell us more about the organizations you’ve been supporting.

JS: Drew and I both have a heart for giving back to our community. We’ve been urging our followers to support Habitat LA,Home Bank LA,the LA Fire Department Foundation,Baby2Baby,and World Central Kitchen. That’s the true essence of our community.
