Indonesian men’s SINGLES, Jonatan Christie, qualified for the quarter-finals of All England 2024 after defeating Thailand’s representative, Kunlavut Vitidsarn with a score of 21-19, 18-21 and 21-13.
“Praise God, thank God for today’s victory,” said Jonathan in his statement.
Jonatan said that Kunlavut put up significant resistance in the match and had good self-confidence.
“I think he has more confidence facing this All England but I also want to continue to improve my performance day by day, trying my best,” he said.
Meanwhile, in another match, Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo lost to Chinese men’s singles, Shi Yu Qi, in two straight games with a score of 19-21, 10-21.
Chico said that Shi Yu Qi was able to appear consistent and control the game. He realized he was unable to keep up with his opponent’s game.

“In the second game I tried to balance the game by changing patterns but it didn’t work, he was very consistent,” said Chico.
“In the second game, the opponent also accelerated the tempo in the front game, which made the initiation of attacks more intense,” he added.
