New Jersey Devils extend contract with Jonas Siegenthaler
Jonas Siegenthaler (25) stays with the New Jersey Devils. The team with Captain Nico Hischier (23) extends the defender by another five years.
The New Jersey Devils extend Jonas Siegenthaler’s contract by five years. From the 2023/24 season, the Zurich native will collect an average of 3.4 million US dollars (around 3.2 million francs). In the current contract, which by the way is also valid for next year, it is 2.25 million US dollars per year.
The NHL franchise from the US state of the same name is thus rewarding the defender for a great season. In his second season for the Devils, the 25-year-old played 70 games and recorded 14 points (1 goal, 13 assists). In addition, Siegenthaler had the fourth-most playing time of the entire team with an average of 18:08 minutes.
