Golfer Jon Rahm was crowned champion of the Augusta Masters last Sunday, April 9, and this title adds to the 19 victories he has already achieved as a professional, despite his young age of 28.

He was born on November 10, 1994 in Barrica, a former municipality located within the Spanish province of Vizcaya.

As an amateur he began playing for the Arizona State Sun Devils university team, while studying Communication Sciences. With this he won eleven tournaments in the academic framework and collected six more victories outside of that scope.

Already as a professional, in 2016, he participated in the Quicken Loans National and gained an advantage in the first two rounds. He later was at the San Diego Open, the Zurich Classic in New Orleans, the WGC-Mexico Championship and the Memorial Tournament, to name just a few.

The European is the father of two children named: Kepa and Eneko. Both are the result of his relationship with Kelley Cahill, a biologist and American javelin thrower whom he married in 2019.

According to the Spotrac media, in total the Spaniard earned $48.3 million dollars.

After winning his last championship, he revealed: “I’m hoping this catapults me into playing the rest of the year the way I think I’m playing.”
