In the vibrant heart of Downtown Las Vegas, Circa Resort & Casino is quickly earning a reputation as a hotspot for celebrity sightings, particularly among icons of the UFC.
Recently, heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones was seen enjoying the lively atmosphere at Circa, just days before his highly anticipated confrontation with Stipe Miocic at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden, scheduled for this weekend. Jones utilized his downtime to catch the action at UFC Fight Night: Magny vs. Prates from the Apex, where he remained upbeat, snapping selfies and engaging with fans amidst the excitement.
Following the conclusion of the Magny vs. Prates event, enthusiastic UFC fans were treated to an impromptu appearance as Jones entered the octagon. Displaying a blend of confidence and curiosity, he kicked off his shoes and stepped onto the mat in a bid to familiarize himself with the arena ahead of his monumental bout.
Once he left the Apex, Jones headed to Circa and ate at the renowned steakhouse Barry’s Downtown Prime. The fighter fueled up on protein with a surf and turf dish featuring a 2 lb. lobster tail, documenting the meal on his Instagram for his nearly 9 million followers.
After indulging in an exquisite three-course dinner, the powerhouse athlete delighted in a VIP tour of the restaurant, personally meeting the establishment’s esteemed owners, Chef Barry S. Dakake and Yassine Lyoubi. Graciously, he expressed his gratitude towards the kitchen staff who prepared his sumptuous feast. In the event that Jones emerges victorious at UFC 309, he is reportedly considering hosting a celebratory gathering at Barry’s Downtown Prime, where he could revel in triumph alongside his team and proudly showcase his championship belt.
Next up for Jones — who was a guest of Circa casino executive and friend Richard Wilk — was a tour around the property, including the 60th floor Legacy Club, home of the rooftop cocktail lounge with panoramic city views. While touring the casino floor, Jones also met with Circa’s Vice President of Operations and UFC fan Rahmi Chaghouri.
Fans followed wherever the champion went; luckily for Jones, that’s one of his favorite parts of the job. He was thrilled to hear many people wish him well ahead of his UFC 309 face-off this weekend.
