PRESIDENT Joko Widodo admitted that he is currently still having difficulty finding a replacement for Tri Rismaharini to fill the position of Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos).

Previously, Jokowi, his nickname, said that he had received the resignation letters from Social Minister Tri Rismaharini and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, who are running in the 2024 Pilkada. Jokowi conveyed this to the media crew after inaugurating the Djuanda Flyover in Sidoarjo, East Java, Friday (6/9).

The resignation letter from Social Minister Tri Rismaharini has been signed by Jokowi. Meanwhile, regarding Pramono Anung’s resignation as Cabinet Secretary, Jokowi has not signed it.

“And I have signed his resignation, yes. But his replacement will be here soon,” said Jokowi.

As is known, Risma and Pramono Anung must submit a letter of resignation to be able to run in the 2024 Pilkada. Both are supported by PDIP.

Risma is running as a candidate for Governor of East Java. While Pramono Anung is running as a candidate for Governor of Jakarta. (HS/J-3)
