President Joko Widodo is confirmed not to attend the opening ceremony of the 6th Congress of the National Awakening Party (PKB) in Bali, 24-25 August 2024. Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat, Yusuf Permana, in a short message to journalists in Jakarta today, explained that the President has no agenda to visit Bali.
“The President has no working visit scheduled to Bali,” said Yusuf.
The VI PKB Congress will be attended by Vice President (Wapres) Ma’ruf Amin. The Vice President accompanied by his wife Wury Ma’ruf Amin departed for Bali Province using the Indonesian Air Force’s Special Presidential Aircraft Boeing 737-800.
The Vice President and his entourage took off from the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta for I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali at 14.00 WIB.
The Vice President’s main agenda on the first day of his working visit is to attend the Opening Ceremony of the 6th Congress of the National Awakening Party which will take place at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center at 19.00 WITA.
Secretary of the Steering Committee of the 6th Congress of the National Awakening Party (PKB), Syaiful Huda, revealed that his party’s congress which will be held on 24-25 August 2024 in Bali will be closed by President-elect Prabowo Subianto.

“Hopefully according to schedule, it is planned that the closing of the conference will be held at 12 tomorrow WITA time. Hopefully it will run according to schedule because coincidentally in Bali tomorrow there are many events,” said Huda in Bali.
Meanwhile, Huda explained that the implementation of the two-day PKB Congress will include the election of the general chairman, chairman of the shura council, formulation of the political struggle platform and determination of the main lines of the party’s struggle for the next five years.
“The following are political recommendations for the various dynamics that we are facing today, and our recommendations to anticipate various political, economic and social developments in the next five years,” he said. (Ant/P-2)
