The joint SAR TEAM succeeded in evacuating the bodies of four victims who fell into
well suspected to have inhaled toxic gas in Panahegan Village, Gasol Village, Cugenang District, Cianjur Regency. It took almost 7 hours
to evacuate the four bodies.
Chief Executive of BPBD Cianjur Regency, Asep Kusmanawijaya, said
Evacuating the four bodies did take quite a long time. The evacuation process must be carried out carefully because there are concerns that there may still be poisonous gas.
“Thank God, last night (Wednesday night), the four bodies were recovered
evacuated,” he said, Thursday (7/3).
The body was first evacuated in Idin’s name. The victim was evacuated on Wednesday (6/3) at around 17.10 WIB.
Next, the joint SAR team evacuated the body on behalf of Wahab at around 20.30 WIB. Following that was the body in the name of Jajang at 21.06 WIB, and finally the body in the name of Hada at 21.26 WIB.
“All the victims’ bodies were immediately evacuated to the Sayang Cianjur Regional Hospital,” he said

With the evacuation of the four bodies in the well, the search and rescue process involving Basarnas, PMI, BPBD, fire brigade, police and other elements was stopped.
The four residents fell into a well approximately 8 meters deep in Panahegan Village RT 03/02, Gasol Village, Cugenang District. They are suspected of inhaling poisonous gas from the well while repairing the water pump.
Based on information, the incident occurred at around 15.30 WIB.
The incident began when the owner of the well was identified as Huda Will
repair a damaged water pump. However, when the well cover was opened, the victim allegedly inhaled poisonous gas.

It didn’t take long for the victim to become weak and finally fell into the well. At the location there are Jajang, Didin, and Wahab. It is said that they are well diggers.
Finding someone who had fallen into the well, Jajang spontaneously wanted to help. However, Jajang’s efforts were in vain. He is also suspected of inhaling poisonous gas and ending up falling into a well.
