The municipality of Chatham-Kent is extending an invitation to residents to actively participate in a virtual meeting aimed at gathering valuable public input regarding the draft of the updated parks and recreation master plan.
This important virtual public engagement session is scheduled to take place on Microsoft Teams from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. on November 12, providing an accessible platform for all community members to share their insights.
During this online meeting, municipal staff will conduct a concise presentation outlining the draft master plan vision along with its strategic directions. Attendees will then have the opportunity to engage in an interactive session designed to collect feedback, receive comments, and answer any questions that may arise.
The updated master plan will provide a long-term vision for the municipality’s park system, as well as specific policies and standards to direct day-to-day decisions on infrastructure, services, and programs.
“We have had some great engagement from the community so far,” said Ian Clark, Manager of Parks, Recreation and Cemeteries, in a news release. “This is the public’s chance to shape our 10-year strategy before the draft plan is brought before Council in the spring.”
