This family is truly gold. The crew consisting of Nathan, 15, and his father Grégoire Louis will from May 3 take part in the 205 Trophée, a humanitarian raid that takes place in Morocco every year. An assembly of 260 people and 130 vehicles engaged in 4000 km of rocky paths, desert plains and sand dunes in a dry climate and sandstorms.
Exclusively reserved for Peugeot 205s, this 10-day orientation test is based on mutual help, sharing and togetherness, and is above all a meeting between cultures with a humanitarian dimension.
Mutual aid and solidarity
Action 2024, defined with the Moroccan Foundation for Youth Initiative and Development, is organized for the benefit of three schools located in the desert and at the Erfoud Hospital. A humanitarian action is carried out every year for the benefit of local associations with great needs. The participants will therefore each carry, in their 205, around one hundred kilos of children’s clothes, school supplies, laptops, medical equipment etc. which will be offered to the four establishments as well as to the inhabitants of the isolated villages that are crossed.
But the 205 Trophy remains a feat of orienteering, without being a race, testing the endurance of the participants and their cars with the sole aim of reaching the finish line.
This real human and sporting challenge, open to everyone, without age limit, advocates surpassing oneself, but also mutual help and solidarity between the crews to reach the end of this crazy adventure together.
Call for donations
Les Louis solidaires is a legal association from 1901 with a humanitarian, adventurous and sporting profession, created on 11 September 2023. The aim is to help disadvantaged populations through targeted actions and participation in various events such as raid humanitarian 205 Trophy.
“The project to participate in the 205 trophy was born from a crazy idea thrown on the corner of the table during an evening with friends and familysays the Pernese family. And here we are creating an association to unite our values, our motivations and our passions that we found in this raid.“
Nathan and Grégoire Louis also wanted “share this adventure between father and son, and friends. The terrible earthquake that took place in the province of Al-Haouz, south of Marrakech on September 8, 2023, reinforced our goal to help the affected Moroccan population.s”.
This adventure requires a budget of €12,000, so the family is launching an appeal. “Why help us? To offer us the chance to live one of the most beautiful experiences of our lives and carry out a collective action. To give a young and dynamic image to your company and promote it in an original way thanks to the different events we will organize or in which we will participate“, among others.
Interested persons can also participate financially to help the family achieve the necessary budget to carry out this project. “Les Louis solidaires is a statutory association from 1901 and we can give you a receipt for donations to certain public interest organisations. The money raised will also be used to buy school supplies for children affected by the earthquake on September 8, 2023. Since the list of required equipment is long, all in-kind donations are welcome: insurance, bivouac equipment, solar shower, fire extinguisher, jerry cans, kinetic strap, toolbox, GPS…” completes the family.
