LONDON (Archyde.com) – A British retail painting group has offered a self-portrait that Hollywood star Johnny Depp drew of himself when he was going through a rough patch and a legal battle over his former marriage to actress Amber Heard. Work began on the painting called “Five” in 2021 in the studio of the British painter Ralph Steadman, and it was completed this year. “This self-portrait was drawn at a time that was a little difficult, a little confusing,” Depp said in a video clip.
“I looked at her and I don’t know why she felt like she needed something else,” he added. She needed more information. I just wrote five on it because I was regarding to enter the fifth year of madness.’
Depp met Heard on the set of a movie and they married in 2015, and the actress filed for divorce just over a year later. Their stormy relationship was revealed through two trials.

Depp said that the “five” painting was inspired by a photo taken of him in 2015, when he became the face of a Dior men’s perfume. “All the time, as painful as it was,” Depp said in the clip. A copy of the self-portrait can be obtained at a price of $ 1,950, and it is a time-limited edition, as it will be available for sale for only 13 days.
