A good chunk of NBA stars and, more importantly, Big League executives are in Las Vegas right now. The opportunity was therefore perfect for… John Wall to offer a little family workout this Sunday, just to show that he is still capable of playing basketball.
No. 1 in the 2010 Draft and five-time All-Star, John Wall has been gradually lost since 2018. Repeated injuries have gotten the better of the once supersonic point guard, and neither the Rockets nor the Clippers, the two franchises that given a chance since leaving the Wizards, have not been the scene of any renaissance. The Las Vegas Summer League therefore sounded like a blessing for Jean Mur, who decided according to Chris Haynes to organize a little workout (private training) just to impress a possible future boss. Among the very best leaders of his generation, John Wall has since seen the train pass but, at 33, he may still have a few kilometers left on the clock. To seduce an NBA franchise it will in any case have to prove on the floor, it should be fine, but also outside, because we know Johnny wasn’t always the easiest guy to handle. Concessions will therefore have to be made, if the love of the game takes precedence, no problem, but if the ego takes over, good luck finding a CDD worthy of the name.
