John Travolta is an enthusiastic pilot and runs his own aviation company. Two of his pilots are said to have defrauded the company of almost $800,000.

At the end of the 1970s, John Travolta became a star with films such as Saturday Night Fever and Grease. He celebrated his international comeback in 1994 in Quentin Tarantino’s cult film Pulp Fiction. Besides acting, his greater passion is flying.

Travolta got his first flying lessons at the age of 16, his first airplane at the age of 20 and his pilot’s license at the age of 23. He owns several aircraft and lives in the Jumbolair Aviation Community near Ocala, Florida. Part of the facility is an almost 2.3 kilometer long asphalt runway. The Hollywood beau of the 80s temporarily parked a 707 next to his house in Jumbolair. In 2018 he personally flew her to the museum.

Damage of around $800,000

Today, Travolta owns, among other things, two Dassault Falcon 2000 business jets and an Eclipse 500. To operate the aircraft, the actor founded his own company, Constellation, and hired several employees, pilots and mechanics. Two former pilots from his company have now been arrested by local police authorities.

The accusation is serious, organized fraud. Jorden Coursey and Jean-Paul Lacruz Romero are said to be part of a network that is said to have facilitated Travolta’s company out of a total of $785,000, reports AIN. The two used a third-party company, Lux Fuels, to sell Constellation overpriced gas.

No reaction from Travolta

According to the police report, Lacruz-Romero collected nearly $382,00 in “fraudulent funds” from Lux Fuels. His accomplice Coursey pocketed almost $305,000. John Travolta has not yet commented publicly.
