John Romero released a new level for DOOM 2 for the first time in 28 years to raise money to help Ukraine

DOOM 2 co-creator John Romero has created the first new level for the classic shooter in 28 years.

The location is called OneHumanity and available through the developer’s website 5 euros. All money earned from sales will go to the Red Cross and the UN Central Emergency Response Fund to help the people of Ukraineaffected by the current events in the country.

“To support the people of Ukraine and the humanitarian efforts of the Red Cross and the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund, I am releasing a new level for DOOM II for a €5 donation. 100% of proceeds will go to these institutions.”

Romero clarified that he did not spend any money on the production of the level, so in this case, revenue is equal to profit.
