the american citizen John Poulosthe main suspect in the murder of the DJ Valentina Trespalacioswas transferred on Wednesday night from Panama to Bogotá.
The man was captured on Tuesday, January 23, by the Panamanian authorities at an airport in the neighboring country when he was trying to take a flight to Turkey.
His capture was the product of a joint effort between the Colombian police, the Panamanian and an alert made by Interpol. The man will arrive in Colombia and will have to answer for the evidence that accuses him of being the possible murderer of the young woman.
On this Wednesday morning, General Carlos Triana, commander of the Bogotá Police, had traveled to the neighboring country to carry out the extradition of the man.
The Colombian authorities found new elements that would indicate that Poulos was the alleged murderer of Trespalacios. The first evidence was the woman’s cell phone, which was found at the El Dorado airport in Bogotá.
The others were the videos in which you can see the exact moment in which a man throws the woman’s body into the dump where it was found, in Fontibón, and that the brother of the deceased assured that the American had hired a private detective to follow in the DJ’s footsteps while he was out of the country.
