Joske tells Jan-Willem and Jeroen about yesterday’s concert in a call this morning. Mayer is doing a solo tour, so he’s on stage alone. Tonight he will be back in the Ziggo Dome for the second and final concert of the series. “For everyone going tonight, you’ve never experienced anything like this before. He does such a different show,” says Joske on the phone.
Kind of like Michael Jackson
If we are to believe Joske and Mayer, concertgoers can expect a spectacle tonight. Mayer said yesterday that he would secretly like to come up from the stage with smoke and then play a cool guitar solo, a bit like Michael Jackson. It was actually a joke. “But then he said, ‘Fuck it, I’m just going to do it, no matter how much money it costs me: you’ll see me come up from the stage tomorrow.’”
