Johanniter: “Psychological first aid for everyone”

New four-hour course from Johanniter on “psychological first aid” starting in April.

Vienna (OTS) – In a time characterized by multiple crises, many people’s mental health is increasingly coming under pressure. The Johanniters react to this development. “We are now offering a new course format under the title ‘Psychological first aid for everyone’,” reports Petra Grell-Kunzinger, Federal Managing Director of Johanniter in Austria.

For this purpose, the Johanniter Training Center has developed a new four-hour seminar. This covers various aspects of psychological first aid. Gell-Kunzinger: “This includes dealing with stress, dealing with crises and emergencies as well as case studies.” Practical exercises help participants apply what they have learned and overcome inhibitions. Special attention is paid to self-care. There is also input and exercises for this at home.

“We are convinced that every person is capable of providing psychological first aid. Our course offers the theoretical knowledge as well as practical exercises. The course is aimed at anyone who wants to learn how to appropriately support people in stressful situations,” concludes Grell-Kunzinger.

The first course ‘Psychological First Aid for Everyone’ will take place on April 17, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Johanniter-Center-Nord (JCN: 1210 Vienna, Ignaz-Köck-Straße 21).
