Johan Larsson, a beloved figure in Brynäs hockey, has committed his future to the club by signing a three-year contract extension. The announcement comes as a welcome boost for the team and its passionate fanbase, solidifying Larsson’s crucial role as captain and leader.
“Of course, it feels incredibly good to extend,” Larsson expressed. “I enjoy the club and the city very much. The journey the club is on is very inspiring, and it’s something I want to continue to be a part of.”

His impact was immediately apparent, contributing 48 points (19 goals and 29 assists) in 57 games during the club’s return to the SHL, including playoffs.

This season, Larsson has continued his impressive form, amassing 18 points (6 goals and 12 assists) in 23 games, consistently driving the team forward from his position as captain. In addition to his SM gold in 2012, he has also claimed gold medals at the World Championships and World Junior Championships, as well as SM golds at the J18 and J20 levels.
