Johan Floderus in first interview after the exchange: “Feels very real”

After 790 days in captivity, Swedish Johan Floderus was released from the notorious Evin prison in Iran in a prisoner exchange. In a first interview with TV4’s Kalla fakta, he talks about his time in prison, and how it feels to be free.

– Everyone asks if it doesn’t feel surreal. But it feels very, very real, he says.

He says that during the two weeks he has been free so far, he has enjoyed the “little real things in life”, such as kayaking, eating good food, and sleeping in a bed.

Above all, he spends time with his family and fiance. He proposed to him immediately after landing on Swedish soil.

– I thought about it for 790 of the 790 days that I was detained.
