The Democratic president reappeared in the Delaware Air Force Base on his way to Washington. Tomorrow will offer from the Oval Office and speech to the nation to explain the reasons for his resignation.
In the images published by US media, Biden is seen getting out of a car, dressed in a blue suit and blue tie and wearing his traditional aviator sunglasses, and climbing the stairs of the presidential plane.
In response to shouted questions from the press waiting for him behind a security cordon, the president only replied that he was “fine.”
The president had been isolated at his home in Delaware since last Wednesday, when he tested positive for Covid. According to the latest report from his doctor, Kevin O’Connortoday has tested negative and the symptoms have disappeared.
“During the course of her infection, she never developed a fever and her vital signs remained normal, including pulse oximetry. Her lungs remained clear,” the report said.
Biden announced on Tuesday that he will address the nation from the White House on Wednesday. White House Oval Officein which he will talk about his resignation from the presidential candidacy of the Democratic Party.
He will also speak, he added in a message on X, about “what lies ahead” and how he will finish “the job” for the American people during the nearly six months he has left as president.
The speech will take place at 20:00 local time (00:00 GMT).

Last Sunday, the president announced in a letter to the American people that he was withdrawing from the presidential race following criticism from within his own party for his performance in the primer debate contra Donald Trump (2017-2021) which took place on June 27.
He said he did it for the good of the country and the party and announced that he would address the nation this week to explain what had happened.
Biden chose his vice president, Kamala Harrisas successor, who already obtained on Monday enough delegates to guarantee the nomination in the next democratic national conventionwhich will start the August 19 in Chicago.
