PRESIDENT Joe Biden and former president Donald Trump have emerged as the strongest presidential candidates from their respective parties. Although voters are less than enthusiastic regarding the prospect of a rematch between them.
Although Biden and Trump face little serious competition within their parties, polls show few are enthusiastic regarding the prospect of their showdown in November.
According to political analysis site 538, more than 55% of the public have a negative view of Biden, compared to 40% who have a positive view.
For Trump, the numbers are not very encouraging, in that more than 43% have a positive view, while regarding 52% have a negative view.
Trump won the first 12 primaries in 15 states, including Texas and California, however, he lost badly following Nikki Haley’s surprise victory in Vermont.
In the primary elections held in 15 states, Tuesday (5/3) or Wednesday WIB, which is called Super Tuesday, the former president, who is trying to return to the White House, hopes to place his delegates who will be decisive in his journey to the Republican presidential nomination.

Meanwhile, in the Democratic nomination contest, as expected, Biden won all 14 states, although he is expected to lose to little-known challenger Jason Palmer in the small territory of American Samoa in the Pacific Ocean.
An average of polls from RealClearPolitics shows Trump with a two-point lead over Biden in a head-to-head matchup in November’s election.
