Joe Biden and his G7 allies banish Russia from international trade

The American president announced on Friday March 11 the suspension of commercial relations with Moscow, decided with the G7. For Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Russia will come out stronger from the ordeal.

The economic sanctions decided by Western countries once morest Russia are intensifying but the country will recover “completely” and without anyone’s help, challenges Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Thursday evening, following his meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart in Turkey, the Russian minister explained to CNBC : “Our economic problems, we will solve them”, recalling that Russia had crossed “further periods of isolation and unrest” in its history.

And adds:

We will no longer have the slightest illusion that the West can be a reliable partner. We will do everything to never, in any way, be dependent on the West”.

“It’s not clear how Russia can run its economy independently in the future”, notes the economic media. Since the first salvo of sanctions following the invasion of Ukraine, the ruble “keeps tumbling down”while “trading on the Moscow Stock Exchange remains mostly suspended”.
