At Teahupo’o, athletes will face a challenge worthy of an Olympic competition and viewers will face a breathtaking sporting spectacle. The competition site has been designed in a respectful manner to preserve the exceptional environment of the island. The celebration spaces will allow spectators to enjoy the competition and the atmosphere, while celebrating Polynesian culture, the Olympic spirit and the values of Paris 2024.
In this context, the Olympic Village Manager’s mission is to design, define and deliver all operations and services of the Olympic Village (Athletes’ Village), under the functional responsibility of the Village Operations Manager in Paris. and under the operational responsibility of the Tahiti Site Director to define and implement all the different levels of services and operational systems on behalf of the athletes and their delegations during the Olympic Games.
MAIN MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage the operational team in charge of delivering operations within its scope,
• During the planning phase, guarantee the implementation of operations (security, accreditation, medical, technology, etc.) and services (accommodation, catering, transport) within the Olympic village,
• Participate in the drafting of Olympic Village policies & procedures,
• Be the dedicated point of contact for the owner of the Olympic Village and its teams,
• Ensure “remote” customer relations (mainly emails and videoconferences) with the various foreign accredited persons who will be hosted within the Olympic Village, then on site,
• Ensure the interface with the various service providers involved in the operations of the Olympic Village,
• Train Volunteers for their future mission in the Olympic Village, then support them in their mission
• Plan and supervise interventions during the bump-in (installation) and bump-out (uninstallation) phase of the village in interface with the logistics teams and other services (security, accreditation, catering, signage, etc.),
• Onboard service providers to set up operations on Facilities subjects,
YOUR ASSETS FOR SUCCESS
• Bac +5 type training in Facility management or Project management
• 3 to 7 years of experience in the event project management and/or facility management and/or hotel sector.
• Ability to work in project mode, autonomy and adaptability
• Ability to adapt in a demanding context that can be stressful from time to time and involves numerous stakeholders with sometimes antagonistic expectations,
• Excellent command of French and English, both written and spoken,
• Driving licence
Type of contract: Fixed-term fixed-term contract
Paris 2024 favors local hiring, relocation costs will not be covered.
