The mother of Joaquín Sperani, the 14-year-old boy who was found dead this Sunday in an abandoned house in Laboulaye, stated that the 13-year-old alleged perpetrator of the murder “was a lifelong friend” of her son.
“Everything indicates that it was he who killed him, he is a garbage psychopath,” said Mariela Flores.
He also assured that “there is a lot of evidence that incriminates him.” “He was a lifelong friend, I don’t know what crossed his mind,” he added in statements to TN.
“Right now I don’t have the strength to speak, but in a few days I’m going to say a lot of things,” added Flores.
“I do not understand what happened. Actually that his own friend has done this. He was one of the family. Parents too. It’s very hard to understand. So far I have not fallen, ”he pointed out to Miter Cordoba Martin Sperani, Joaquin’s father.

“Here everyone knows everyone. We were looking for it from the beginning. The truth is not understood what happened. We had the hope that he was doing a mischief, ”said the mayor of Laboulaye, César Abdala.

Abdala thanked the work of the entire community because an exhaustive search was carried out, although he admitted that the boy was found “by chance.”
Laboulaye is a small community in the provincial territory, with just over 20,000 inhabitants in the southeast of the province, in the Roque Sáenz Peña department.

“We are talking regarding a homicide. We have a delayed person as the alleged material author of the act, he would be a minor (of age). He would be the only person who would be involved, ”explained the chief of the Laboulaye Police, Enrique Carreras.
“It is a person from his environment with whom we had been working on the investigation of the event since day zero. The witness we had out there said one thing, out there he said another. They are also defense mechanisms for whoever may be the alleged perpetrator of an event of such magnitude, ”he specified at a press conference.
“We believe that the boy died the same day and at the time of disappearance, no more than 3 in the followingnoon. That is our preliminary assumption. Now the forensic report remains, which is what will determine all these issues for us,” Carreras said.
He also assured that “there is a forceful element kidnapped and the boy presents physical evidence that he has been hit with such an element.” Joaquín’s cell phone, which was in the possession of the main suspect, was also seized.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office also confirmed that “the main investigation hypothesis is that it would be a homicide”, that “the alleged perpetrator would be a minor” and that “the transfer of the case to the juvenile criminal court is being analyzed”.
The case
The boy had been absent from his home last Thursday when, following going to the “Ipem 278 Malvinas Argentinas” school, he did not return home.
The teenager was found lifeless in an abandoned house at 480 Sarmiento street, Dairo corner, one block from the school he attended, according to reports from LV20 Radio Laboulaye.
The family had reported the disappearance of the teenager on Thursday. On Saturday followingnoon they gathered in front of the Laboulaye Police headquarters along with Joaquín’s neighbors and friends to ask for the boy’s appearance.
