Joao Felix travelled to London last Tuesday, passed his medical and yesterday completed his signing with Chelsea, with whom he signed for seven years and to which he returns a year later, this time in a definitive purchase for 50 million euros fixed plus 10 in variables, from Atlético de Madrid.
“I’m really happy to be back at Chelsea and I can’t wait to get started. I can see some familiar faces from the last time I was here, which is always nice. I loved my time here before and I told my friends and family that I would love to return to the Premier League one day. To do that with Chelsea is a great feeling and I’m excited to be back,” the footballer explained to his new team’s official media.
“It’s an opportunity for me to find a home,” he said. “After two loan spells, Chelsea and Barcelona, I needed to stay permanently somewhere and there is no better place for me than Chelsea. I see it as a perfect place to shine,” added the Portuguese.
After several days of waiting, LOS COLCHONEROS yesterday made official the signing of English midfielder Conor Gallagher from Chelsea.
Gallagher joined Atletico Madrid for a reported $47 million and signed a five-year contract.
The midfielder was presented to Atlético fans at the “Metropolitano” alongside the team’s other new signings for this season: defender Robin Le Normand, from Real Sociedad; forward Alexander Sorloth, from Villarreal; and attacker Julián Álvarez, former Manchester City player.
EMILIANO MARTÍNEZ has renewed his contract with Aston Villa until 2029.
“El Dibu”, who will wear the number 23 that he wears for the Argentine national team this season, will live at least five more years in Birmingham, after extending his agreement with the “Villanos”.
“I am very excited to sign a new contract and also for the season that we are starting,” said the goalkeeper in a video posted by the club on social media.
JUVENTUS yesterday closed the signing of French defender Pierre Kalulu from Milan, while the “bianconeri” coach, Thiago Motta, insists on the signing of Argentine winger Nico González, still a Fiorentina player.
Kalulu underwent medical tests in Turin and signed his contract with the “Vecchia Signora”. The operation is a one-year loan in exchange for three million euros with an option to buy 14 and another three in variables that would be closed until 2029.
PAULO DYBALA is getting closer to joining Al-Qadsiah in the Arab League. Negotiations with the club coached by Míchel, who has already contacted the player several times, have reached a decisive phase.
The Argentine would receive 75 million euros net over three years of contract, but the agreement between the parties is not closed.— AP, EFE and AS
