[OSEN=김채연 기자] ‘Short Box’ Cho Jin-se confessed to a love story worthy of a morning drama.
In the 4th episode of ENA’s music entertainment show ‘A Song in My Ear’ (produced by A2Z Entertainment, A9ine Media C&I), which aired on the 9th, MC Boom, ‘Singing’ Eunhyuk, Solji, Raewon, WJSN’s Seol-ah, VIXX’s Ken, and Coca & Butter’s Lee Hei , Cho Jin-se, Madox, Hwanhee, and Lovelyz K appeared. They showed off their unexpected charm by sharing ‘pop songs’ with their own stories, while challenging various missions. In addition, they completely captivated the viewers by presenting ‘hitting songs’ of any genre, from dance to ballads, in a luxurious live performance.
‘Thing Chin’, who was the first to take the stage, was Maddox, who has an attractive neutral voice. Maddox said, “I was born in Wales, England and came to Korea when I was ten years old. So he couldn’t speak Korean for a few years, and then his older sister played him a song. “The singer’s name and the song title were so unique and nice,” he said, introducing Light and Salt’s “Shampoo Fairy” as his “pop song.” Maddox then went on to spin the roulette wheel to determine the length (percentage) of the ‘Ding Song Stage’, but unfortunately the number 50% came out. The third runner was Lovelyz’s Kei, who told an episode related to her extreme love of milk, saying, “My story is a bit sick.” Kay, who said, “At company dinners, I toast with milk instead of alcohol or carbonated drinks,” eventually claimed, “Milk goes very well with pig’s feet.” Furthermore, he introduced Sung Si-kyung’s ‘We Go Together Quite Well,’ saying, “The song that goes well with my story is my ‘ting song.'” Afterwards, she spun the roulette wheel vigorously, but the number ‘10%’ came out, and she started the ‘Milk Song’ charm mission. But Solji, her mission partner, made a mistake, and out of apology, Solji got down on her knees and begged Eunhyuk to give her one more chance. Accordingly, Kei succeeded in the mission alone and was able to perform 50% of the ‘Ding Song’. ‘Short Box’ Cho Jin-se, the only non-singer performer among today’s ‘Thing Chin’, told a story about a sad love story during his school days. What surprised the ‘things’ even more was Jo Jin-se’s goosebump-inducing singing ability. Hwanhee gave a generous round of applause to Jo Jin-se’s performance, which perfectly mastered not only the pitch and beat, but also the high notes, saying, “You did a great job!”
In a heated atmosphere, the last ‘thing’ was Hwanhee, the ‘living KR&B legend’. He said, “This is one of the most shocking and fresh songs I heard during my school days. Afterwards, everyone united and succeeded in the mission, and Hwanhee filled the studio with emotion by performing ‘Please’ with his appealing tone and sensitivity.
