Jimmy Butler guarantees Heat win over Hawks

This Tuesday, the play-in tournament will start with a poster opposing Miami to Atlanta in Florida. The winner will go directly to the Playoffs, the loser will play in a knockout match on Friday. And for Heat star Jimmy Butler, there’s only one possible scenario.

As we know, Jimmy Butler is not the type to have his tongue in his pocket, he is rather the confident type and does not hesitate to say out loud what he thinks.

In a few hours, the leader of the Heat will face Atlanta in a qualifying match for the Playoffs. Miami, which finished seventh in the regular season following a rather disappointing campaign (44 wins – 38 losses), must actually go through the play-in tournament box to compost its plane ticket to Boston or Milwaukee. Match trap therefore. But for Jimmy, it’s mostly a formality.

Overconfidence or legitimate trust?

When we know Jimmy Butler’s ability to raise his level of play in the most important moments, and the history between Miami and Atlanta, we lean more on the second option.

J-Buckets has seriously ramped up in recent weeks and there is no doubt that he will be there tonight. Just as a reminder, since the All-Star Break, Jimmy is 25.6 points average, with 5.6 rebounds, 5.9 assists (for only 1.4 turnover) and 1.5 interception as a bonus, all at more than 61% success in shooting and 85% in free throws. Suffice to say that he is ready for the big deadlines of the spring, he who carried Miami to 11 successes in 18 games to complete the regular season.

Another reminder, the Heat smashed Atlanta in the first round of the Playoffs last year, with a series won in five dry runs. Jimmy had mistreated the poor Falcons (30 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals on average), while Atlanta star Trae Young had been extinguished by Miami’s barbed wire defense. So certainly, the Heat seems less solid today than last year, but the Hawks are no more convincing than in 2022. So if we have to bet on someone tonight, clearly it’s Mr. Butler.

Not only has Jimmy Butler just announced a victory tonight once morest Atlanta, but he has complete confidence in his Heat team to make a run similar to last year. After finishing first in regular play, Miami had fallen in seven games to Boston in the Eastern Conference Finals, moving within a missed shot from Jimmy to go all the way to the NBA Finals.

“Last year no one thought we were going to win either, so it doesn’t matter. Nobody thinks we’re going to win this year, so I don’t care. In 10 years, no one will think we’re going to win. I don’t care too.”

No doubt, Jimmy Butler is ready to thwart all predictions. And the Hawks might well represent his first victim tonight.
