As “TMZ” reports, the in-laws of the Californian car racer and his 11-year-old nephew died following a shootout at their home in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Police have informed the portal that Jack and Terry Chanway, the parents of Johnson’s wife Chandra Janway, 44, and their grandson Dalton Janway, were found dead shortly following 9 p.m. on Monday, June 26, 2023. The authorities had previously received an emergency call in which a woman reported a person with a firearm before hanging up.

Mother-in-law shoots husband, grandson and herself

The police have informed “TMZ” that Terry Janway is the alleged perpetrator. Accordingly, she shot her husband and grandson before turning the gun on herself. It is unclear whether she was also the one who called the police. The terrible incident is now classified by the authorities as murder and suicide, and investigations are ongoing. The motive is still completely unclear.
