(CNN) — As Jim Carrey himself once said: “It’s time to have fun“.
The “The Mask” actor did just that earlier this week at the popular San Vicente Bungalows in Los Angeles, where he celebrated his 62nd birthday, and we can’t forget the Alex Reed list.
Comedian Jeff Ross posted a iconic, star-studded group photo on their Instagram page on Wednesday, which showed Carrey, making one of his trademark elastic facial expressions, front and center among some famous friends in attendance.
Late night host Jimmy Kimmel, comedian Adam Sandler and “The Princess Bride” star Carey Elwes, plus David Spade, Howie Mandel, Bill Burr, Seth Green and Craig Robinson, among many others, appeared in the photo surrounding to Carrey.
“Dinner of Laughter,” Ross wrote in the caption of his Instagram page, which seems like an apt description of what was presumably a dinner full of laugh-until-you-cry moments, considering who was in the room. (Can you imagine it?)
Spade He also posted a photo of himself. with Carrey and Sandler, writing in the caption: “Happy birthday to Jim Carrey, who has made me laugh on and off the field so many times.”
We think the same, David.
Actor Rob Lowe, who did not appear to be at the party, offered a comment on Spade’s Instagram photo, writing, “Too much talent for one room!”
However, it should come as no surprise that Carrey — a Hollywood icon who has appeared in some of the most beloved comedies, including the “Ace Ventura” franchise, “The Cable Guy,” “Dumb and Dumber” and “Liar Liar” — would be capable of hosting a meeting of this type.
