Jihane, high volt dancer

SOften, it is in childhood that the future destiny of the individual is sketched out. Jihane does not escape this determinism, if we judge her words when she surveys the territory of her childhood. We discover a mischievous, joyful girl, who spends carefree, peaceful years, cradled by the tenderness of the parents, so full of life, so steeped in love (besides, pleasant, empathy, love are words that Jihane does not never refrains from pronouncing without blushing).

Born in 1992 in Casablanca, Jihane fell into the cauldron of art as a child. “My interest in painting and design can be explained by my family background: my father is a painter, but also a building designer (…) I remember when I was seven or eight years old, he passed me cassettes containing Drawing lesson. There was also the show Art Attack which I followed religiously… And that’s how I started designing dresses for my dolls (smiles),” she says.

IWe must interrupt this chatterbox to place one. Either way, she decides. She has a natural authority that is not hidden by a sparkling smile.

In the parties that her family organized, she did not hesitate to seize the track to give free rein to her soul. In view of such a passion, her parents enroll her in a dance school. “I didn’t take classes regularly. I went away on the weekends and I only took an hour or two“, she says.

His early youth turned out to be as sunny as his childhood. It was punctuated by brilliant studies, parties with friends, youthful nonsense…: “I was barely fifteen when I started doing commercials».

Jihane had a fever early on…for the dance. Thus, she did not hesitate to consume herself deliciously in her passion. And here she is, tumbling into a dance school without any allowance, except for her ardent ambition to become a professional dancer. She was barely 19, the age of foolish dreams. His was, then it transmuted into reality. “Before I was a receptionist, then a teacher in a ‘Choreart’ dance studio where I taught three styles (Afro, Hip-hop, orienta) for all age groups, I accompanied and assisted a teacher in His lessons…».

In front of us, she smiles when we talk regarding her ability to surround herself with any sound, whether we throw zouk love or garage punk at her. Connected to 12,000 volts, she likes all styles of music and beats the dancefloor especially on Jamaican sounds. With her, fluidity is matched only by technicality. You have to imagine legs as elastic as the fingers of a freejazz pianist.

She can tease the masses of air on the ground, dribble between support and suspension, by getting the beat in the support or by taking the accents in the legs and looking for the setback… Jihane suddenly interrupts the explanations to mime these stories of times of suspension with the chin by snapping the fingers. Tss, tock. “You see ?».

Soft Cajoline eyes, an unshakable aplomb…, we quickly understand why the name of this woman quickly circulated from Dj Skrilex to Red1, passing by French Montana and Daddy Yankee…. She judges all these namesextraordinary».

Clear head, nimble legs and unequivocal speech. She no longer knows how many shows and shows she has participated in.
