Asunción, IP Agency.- With the purpose of contributing to development at the community level and supporting the area of primary education, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) presented volunteer Yuka Furusawa, who will provide specialized technical assistance in the Juan Manuel Frutos district.
Furusawa’s volunteer work will be developed at Elementary School No. Juan Manuel Frutos of the city of Juan Manuel Frutos Department of Caaguazú.
The resident representative of JICA, Takahatake Chika, made the official presentation of the new Japanese volunteer to her respective counterpart, during the official volunteer assignment ceremony.
On the occasion, the general director of the General Directorate of International Cooperation for Development of the Vice Ministry of Economy and Planning, Gisela Dimodica, emphasized continuing to work in an articulated and coordinated manner, strengthening ties, and urging the Institutions to accompany the process of work of each volunteer.
Likewise, he thanked the volunteers who leave their country and their families to share their knowledge and experiences that contribute to the development of the country.
The JICA Volunteer Sending Program is a modality of technical cooperation that seeks to strengthen the institutional capacities of the receiving organizations, through the exchange of knowledge between Professionals and the installed human resources, with which the activities are jointly carried out. .
The Vice Ministry of Economy and Planning, through the General Directorate of International Development Cooperation, receives and processes volunteer applications to relevant institutions, serving as a link with the Cooperation Agency.
In this way, the efforts between both institutions are coordinated in order to guarantee that the service provided by the volunteer results in installed capacities that represent an impact on the communities of our country.
